My '09 is a CA bike, so it has the CAT.

OK here's an update... Took it for about a 20+ mile ride after getting it back together. She runs great, smooth acceleration and pulls nicely through the gears. No decel popping, etc. So Jaimie's fuel MAP was a good one. The exhaust tone with the factory OEM muffler is also improved - slightly deeper tone to it now that the CAT is gone.

One thing I'm a bit baffled by though... I'd thought for sure with a richer a/f mixture and no more CAT in the header that the temps would be cooler, but the oil temp is still the same.

A SE Ventilator air cleaner is my next step but that shouldnt make it any cooler at all. So the question is... Is an OIL cooler the only thing that will cool it down? I thought I've seen countless discussions here that a richer FUEL mixture will cool it down significantly also. I'm not seeing this in my case here. I'm assuming Jaimie's MAP is richer than the factory settings.

Any ideas why?

AJ,

Not sure what you mean here... can you elaborate?

This is a 2 into 1 into 2 set-up just like the OEM on an '09 (V&H Power Duals).

Thanks

just watch your clamp underneath behind the tranny doesn't bottom, you may be able to rotate it so the end of the bolt is not pointing straight down, or grind the end off.

if lowered, watch the X pipe shield on the right turns.

Sorry, forgot it was a 2 into 1. I believe in the stock pipes with v and h slips ,d. Stage 1; true duals not needed because the back pressure and crossover exhaust help that motor run true and reliable. Do I make cents or what?
