HD's $1800 (really $2,000+) Audio upgrade
The 2012 CVO Street Glide retains the fairing speakers, fairing tweeters and speakers in the fairing lowers that were introduced with the 2011 CVO SG, and added speakers in the saddlebag lids with a saddlebag mounted amp. Those components (minus the saddlebag lids) are included in a separate accessory kit, p/n 76000209.
This link provides the installation instructions, as well as showing the components included in the kit:

The saddlebag lids necessary for installation of this kit are sold separately primed:

For those who are considering adding speaker boxes in vented lowers, the instructions provide good information for drilling the hole in the vented lower for the speaker wire; see page 6, figure 4.
While I have no interest in adding speakers to the saddlebags (at least for now), the service parts listed may provide others with an option to the aftermarket products currently available. And while I'm very satisfied with the Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 amp, 6.5" speakers in the fairing and fairing lowers, and Hogtunes tweeter pod, the kit or parts of it may be of interest to others.
Besides, in addition to the information on drilling the holes in the lowers, there is useful information on wiring, assembling saddlebag hardware, etc. in the instructions supplied with the kit.
