On my 09 FLHX the radio/CD player will stop playing. The display stays on, but no music. I can turn it off, and then right back on, and it comes back on. I haven't looked into it yet, I am this afternoon, but any suggestions or common problems I should look for?

Same same, vibration damage repaired by Iron Cross, no trouble yet. Check your fairing mount brackets.

 

Same happened to me. Fortunately it was under warranty. This happens a lot

 

Check to see if your radio/bike is still under warranty before calling Iron Cross.

 

Same here. Eventually it went out and could never get it back on. Waiting for warranty replacement radio. You get a refurbished one, not a new radio under warranty.

 

That's why I sent mine to Iron Cross, even though I was covered under warranty, I know my radio's history, didn't want someone elses refurbushed junk, got it back in 5 days instead of 5 weeks.

 

My radio just started doing the same thing!

 

My 2nd HK radio is going out glad I got extended warranty, will be on my third!!

 

Multiple failures is an indication of external causes. If you dealer just keeps exchanging radios, the defect will continue.
