Default Harley Premium Ride Shocks

I just saw these and was wondering if anyone knows anything about them? Who makes them, how do they ride, etc?

I've been looking at Ohlins and Ricors, these are somewhat cheaper @ $499, but anyone know if they're any good?

Here's a link.

If i'm not mistaken, they are offering front cartridge replacements for the front forks too. I don't think they are admitting to anything. They are just looking to make some cash with any product they can sell to the public.

Careful there partner...I got flamed for being a non-Harley guy for making that statement.

And by the way, it is not all of the shock's fault! Harley continues to mount the shock aft of the axle.

The 12" version of these shocks first appeared on the '10 CVO Street Glide. I took one for a ride, and they are a HUGE improvement over the stock shocks.

I think they are at a good price point, and I suspect the 13" version will have great ride quality. I don't know if they'll ride as good as my Ricor shocks, but list price is $130 cheaper.

I had the low profile rear shocks(street Glide) on my 09 Classic, and recently replaced them with the Low Premimum Gas model.I found them to be a big improvement over the air shock. The rear end seems to be much more planted now,and smoother riding over rough roads.I can't comment on the comparison to the other brands mentioned, but they are less expensive.

I have them and I have also tried some Ultra take off shocks.
I do like these shocks they are a big improvement over the stock Street Glide shocks.

But they won't be as good as your Ultra shocks. Almost as smooth, but not quite.
If you are looking to lower your Ultra then they will work fine.
Do not put on the 12" air shocks, you will hate them compared to your Ultra.

FYI: If I trade bikes this weekend, I will have a set for sale next week.

Harley fit premium grade shocks to very few bikes, the current Sportster XR being the only one at present. So while they do know there are better grade shocks out there I wouldn't trust them to supply a truly premium product.

If you really would like an upgrade don't buy shocks in a box off the shelf. Get a pair custom built to suit you. If I have learned anything in my years on HDF it is that the holy grail of shocks has lead some members to spend a lot of time and money working their way up the price ladder, until they got to the top and finally found nirvana.

I learned from them, skipped over all the rest and bought top shocks.
