Dealer quoted 10 hours to install Monkey Bars..
#41
Changing bars isn't something you need to be a mechanic to do, nor does it require any specialty tools. All it requires is a willingness to tackle a somewhat tedious job, a few common hand tools, and the ability to read the manual. There's nothing technical, difficult, or beyond the abilities of anyone who possesses the strength and dexterity to ride one of these bikes. The job is time consuming, though.
If your dealer is charging you 75 bucks an hour labor, and you do it yourself, that's like paying yourself the same amount of money. Where else are you going to find part-time work that will pay you 75 bucks an hour, tax free?
Bottom line, the bars aren't necessary to ride. Pay up, do it yourself, or leave it stock.
