I installed the bars Saturday. I did not use any wire extensions and I did not change the clutch cable or install new brake lines. I did have to reroute the wiring connectors inside the fairing.
I followed Yaffee's wiring instructions and had no issues wiring the left side. I did have problems with the right side. I ran the TBW wires (I bought the SE TBW) and was pulling the wires for the right side controls when the pull wire tore through the heat shrink. I had to remove everthing on the right side and start over. I finally got it using the push-pull method with lots of spray silicone.
I rode about 30 miles Sunday and so far I am happy.

I'm barely 6'. I haven't been able to go for a long ride but I think they are tall enough. Yes the inner fairing is vivid black. A real challenge trying to take a decent photo. The black bars blend right in and they smudge up easy.

The stock TBW has a plug half way down the harness that is difficult to feed through the bars. HD sells one that doesn't have the plug or I suppose you could solder the connection.
