I try not to brag but I think I can make an exception here. I just got home from a cross-country trip on the bikes with 2 other friends. 6603 miles in all from Rochester, NY to California and back.Wow, this is a beautiful country, but boy am I tired! We did the whole thing in 24 days.

we all rode roadkings, although one of us started out with a 78 shovelhead but that only lasted 2 days. ever see anyone walk a bike thru a toll booth? pretty funny. anyway, he bought a used roadking at woodstock hd in illinois and rode that the rest of the trip. pics will come but too tired to fool with it now.

That's an average of only 275 miles a day so while its cool and everything you guys didn't do anything very ground breaking.

I bet you tell all the children you meet in December that there isn't any Santa either, and you think you're a hoot at parties.

To the OP, sounds like you had a great trip. 6,000+ miles on a single trip is impressive. Looking forward to the pics and stories...

Three time Iron Butt 1k. Coast to coast more times than you can count but I don't feel the need to impress a rub pole smoker like yourself with all of that

If they only traveled 27.5 miles per day, who cares? Most of us would give our eye teeth to be out on the open road for 24 days. But you're probably plenty confortable riding your dyna around town on the weeknds, which doesn't make you a bad guy. However, your thoughtless response makes you at the very least...stupid. That's an awesome trip, and one that I would LOVE to take slowly for the sheer enjoyment of it all, just as they did.

I can only hope that some day it's a dream come true, OP. Well done!
