FastAire Thumbs Up
Yet another happy customer.
I ordered a new shield from Jim last week, after hours.
Spoke with Jim thru PMs and he told me he would get it to me by Weds.
Well the mail lady just dropped it off this morning, Mon.
The shield appears to be very well made, and everything he said it would be.
I'll go install it after lunch and give it a review.
By the way, I'm 6-2 and ordered a 8 inch dark tint Aero.
I've been riding with one of his regular 8 inch shields for about the last 30,000 miles.
I'll let you know how they compare.

Okay, I just took a short ride, and the shield works as advertised.
As I said I'm 6-2, but you can't really go by height. Some people have longer legs, or longer torsos'.
The top of the windshield is about even with the bottom of my nose, so I can see over it easily. So if you already have an 8 inch shield, see where it hits you.
I started off on the hiway, at 60 I took my left hand with my palm down and put it right at the back of the shield, and raised it until I could feel the airflow, this was about 3 inches above the shield.
Next I did the palm down in front of my face, and raised it until I could feel the airflow, this was right at the top of my helmet.
I then slowed down to 35 to 40, and did the same tests. The palm down test resulted in feeling the airflow at between 2 and 2-1/2 inches, and the flow on the helmet hit about an inch lower.
I would assume that at 70 or 80 the flow would be even better than 60.
The finish on the shield is very good, and it looks good on the bike.
It can't say enough about the service Jim provides. I actually sent him a PM after hours on Friday night, and he responded within an hr, even though his hours are only until noon on Friday.
I live a little north of Seattle, and Jim is located in Reno, and my shield was delivered Monday before noon.
Thanks again Jim.

You can't go wrong with the Aero shield from www.fastaire.com . Jim is a great guy and goes out of his way to provide the best service possible and at a fair price. Ride safe.
