my right one rattled a bit and the left was quiet, took the right one apart and found it wasn't aligned right, the have to be just right in the groove in order to lock down and tighten up.

Good idea just removing the adjustable part. The bike is actually cooler for the rider with the lowers on, more comfortable and less wind and rain.

Found the problem with the left vent, there is small plastic notch on the back of the glove box which guides the vent and it was almost shaved off from vibrations. So I sawed off the remaining notch and drilled a hole and put a plastic bolt and nuts to hold it against the glove box wall with some rubber tubing sleeve on it to quite it down wallah doesn't even shake now.If you ride your bike often with open vents I guess it will wear out the plastic guide notch over time.

If they are rattling they are not in place or adjusted properly.

So, another Mickey Mouse Harley design. It baffles me why HD doesn't listen to its customers and the fixes they come up with to solve such problems. For twenty plus grand for a HD you would think they would improve such a simple item.
The fix Punjabi HD came up with is pretty cool.

Hey, Punjabi, any pictures of you did the fix?
