I used WE-40 on mine. Had no problems with paint afterwords either. WD works great on lots of sticky stuff!

Rubbing Alcohol. The bike detailer at my local dealer recomended it and it worked. It did take off the wax requiring that I wax the area again but unlike Naptha, WD-40 and other hydrocarbon products it won't get into the clear coat.

Naptha won't hurt clear. Correctly cured and dried clear will withstand more than that. Wax yes, clear, no. Avoid getting something that you are going to need to scrub with. Hydrocarbon or not your going to have to have a buffer to get the swirls out.

+1 on the baby oil.

Goo Gone. I heard about it here on the forum and have used it to take sap off of clothes, windshields.

Charcoal lighter fluid works great on tree sap but try on a small or out of direct sight area to see reaction cause different paints react differently to some chemicals.
