Default HD Road Tech/Zumo 550 Droid X Bluetooth Tx Problem

2009 SG, with AAS, intercom kit, and HD ear phones with boom mike. With HD Road Tech/Zumo 550 in the bike cradle, I connect my Droid X via Bluetooth. Droid connects up good and the phone book transfer over to the Zumo. The Zumo phone window opens up fine and has 6 icons for the dialer, phone book, voice commands, etc. I can dial out to any number in the phone book or use the dialer, works great. I can hear the numbers dial and the person at the other end comes across great.

The problem is I cannot talk. I hit the PTT button and nothing. Is this setup (Bike wiring, DroidX, Zumo 550) compatible to Tx voice? Any suggestions? Thanks!

The HD intercom headset/mic is not bluetooth enabled; i.e. the mic isn't connected wirelessly or hard-wired to the Zumo. So, the mic is not of any use in your current configuration.

Check-out the HD BOMM; it provides a hard-wire connection to the Zumo for voice transmission:

It works.

Harlyepingman - thanks for the info on the HD Boom. I will check it out.

I was thinking the Zumo would be able to route the voice since it can route the data from the Droid through the intercom wiring circuit. Also, I found out VOX is not working either since I cannot get the intercom to connect because the AAS says the intercom is not installed. Looks like a trip back to the dealer for another flash.
