Read the Sticky on Handlebars.....
which just confused me. Too much info. I have stock bars on my '09 Ultra Classic and I was wondering if there is a handle bar out there I can "bolt on" that would give me some more pull back. I know there is not a lot of extra on the cables. I am 5'9" and I have my arms fully extended if I sit up in the seat. Slouching over to bend my arms creats all kinds of problems -- back, tailbone, etc.

I put WOs 575 on my bike without changing any cables or wires.
Many people here seem to think you have to change the clutch cable out.
If you re-route the cable under the fairing, it is doable.
The cable can still come out the hole on your inner fairing, just like stock.
You just have to think about the route, and use zip ties to keep the cable away from the forks.
I believe the 575s bring you back about 2 inches.

Go to the dealership, compliment someone on their bars, and ask to try them.
You've got to try bars because everyone is different. I had 14" Gangsters on my NT and LOVED them.
I had 12.5" WO577 (Wild1) on my SG and they gave me wrist pain.
The bike isnt back together yet, but i went with Yaffe's monkey bars in 12" for the rebuild

We are pretty close to the same as far as size and bike.
I'm 5'8" 155 lbs on the same bike.
I went with the Khromewerks 300515 +2 wide sweeper to replace the stock bars.
On this bike I went with a Harley +3" clutch cable and trans cover gasket , and that was it other than the bars and Kuryakyn ISO grips.
I didn't bother with internal wiring , but the TBW wiring has to go through the right bar anyway.
These bars are very wide and the wrist position works well for me compared to stock.
I needed to sit up straighter and sit against the rider backrest as I have had back surgery before and really need the support for longer rides.
The bar swap is pretty straight forward , although fairly complex and time consuming.
There's many steps and the factory manual is really a must have for this job.
It took me about 6 hours , and I poked around looking at other things to understand how everything is laid out in the fairing area.
I found some links and videos , which I watched multiple times before I actually did the swap , so I wouldn't be surprised and it went pretty smooth.
These bars bring the hands up and back about 2" and apart (wider) 3" for me.
I have the rider backrest in the forward most position and leaned back as well.
Many folks in my local HOG group have sat on the bike and usually say "wow" these are neat .
Very satisfied and feel they were a good value/comfort mod.

This is what I did a few months ago. Then did a 2500 mile trip in June. LOVE these bars. No more neck/shoulder pain/kink. Would recommend these to anybody. I'm 5'10", and I don't think I could have chosen a better set of bars for my 08 Ultra.
