I enjoyed the Cherhola Skyway the most on my last trip out there. Going back in August to do some more.

Just spent a week in the dragon area. Do the whole Cherohala Skyway which includes the dragon. Do the dragon in both directions. We swung around and stopped at Smokey Mountain Harley and I ended up with a 2011 Street Glide for the ride home.

We also did the moonshiner 28, Nice ride as well.

Both rides take a day.

Enjoy the ride

We will be visiting my inlaws for 2 weeks in western SC. first part of August (we were going to Sturgis again, but things changed). While there we are using them as a home base for riding. Moonshiners28 starts about 30 miles from them. Guess where we will be riding!!! We plan on staying at that Iron Horse lodge I think for a little bit while there also. You have a safe and fun journey!

Don't spend so much time on the Dragon that you overlook other roads in the area. The Cherahola is a beautiful ride, and you'll have time to look around and enjoy the scenery. Look around too much on the Dragon and you could have a problem; you need to pay attention there to the next curve.

Go across the Foothills Parkway also. Only 18
Miles but great places to pull over and enjoy the views. It's right off 129 about 3 or 4 miles before you hit the dragon.
