We just recently purchased a 2008 Ultra Classic, and we are really digging it. It still has the stock pipes and they're a bit quiet. I (we) don't want pipes that are excessively, but would likeva little rumble.
How do you decide on which pipes to buy? Does the HD shop have sound bites of what set of pipes sound like? Is there a website to compare sounds of the pipes?
Besides just installing the pipes, it seems I've heard the bike has to tuned to the new bike, correct?
Thanks
Bratch

Performance

Sound

Then you can start looking for pipes.
You can't get a good representation from a sound recording, best bet is just to listen to different systems in person.

Going to different events and listening in real life is the best way.
Talk to other people and ask what they are running, for most will fire the bike up to give a person a listen.
You tube can be decepetive given all the variables, so patience and real time looking-listening should prevent remorse.
