Harley doesn't make helmets..... look for the tag inside and complain to the company that made it.

+1 on the hybrid. Wasn't lucky enough to get it on clearance though.

If it's still under Warranty, take it back to the dealer and tell them it's a Safety issue.

If the salesperson/parts guys/etc. gives you any crap, go up the chain until you get to the owner. If your problem's not resolved at the dealer, get the number for Harley Customer Service, and take it up with them. Take it up each rung of the ladder there until you get someone who'll listen to you.

If it's easier to shine it on, and replace the helmet, ok. But if you feel they're ripping you off (that's the way it sounds) you owe it to yourself to get things straightened out, as far as a firm attitude, and persistence are able.

please. the finish has nothing to do with the structural integrity. fwiw, i bought an outlaw carbon fiber helmet just recently, and it has that 'rubberized' coating on it also. and yes, it is doing the same thing that your helmet is doing. i figure that i'm just gonna keep working on it until i get all the coating off, then spray it with some polish. the shiny part underneath is actually pretty cool looking.....

I use mine like an old pair of jeans.
If I'm gonna get dirty, put on the shitty ones.
I usually toss helmets once every couple years anyhow.

That's a totally senseless comment. It doesn't matter who makes it, the company that sells it should stand behind it. If this was the case most of the chit that breaks on your bike wouldn't be warrantied because the MOCO doesn't manufacture half the chit on your bike.

Are you 15?

He should contact the manufacturer...... they may know what's going on. It may be a known issue to the manufacturer..... and a dealer would not have that information.
