Hey guys just jumping over from the dyna board to ask a quick question. My brother is looking at an '02 Ultra Classic 12,xxx miles all chromed out, well maintained bike from a seller in a nearby state. Asking is ballpark of 10k, is this a reasonable price and also what are some of the "not so good" issues w/that year model/make?

Don't have info on an '02 but my brother in law bought an'05 Ultra Saturday with 23,000 miles for $10,000

 

..that's not a bad deal...02 is a good year...they were using the newer Fuel Injection unit by then...(not sure if it's injected)...and there were no major issues that year that I remember...the mileage means it's not even fully broken in yet...a lot of bike for 10K..I would offer $9500 which wouldn't be an insult...never know...Vikers1 brother got an exceptional deal, but you have to go by average prices...I say 10K for something that low in mileage(as long as you trust the odometer)...is a decent deal...good luck

 

02 Ultra in New England states retails for $11.5k so if in good shape should be a good deal. 02 was the last year of the forged cranks and Timken engine bearing which are a plus. If injected it was the first year of the Delphi injection which is also a plus over the Magneti Marelli injection of 99-01

 

02 is great model year.

 

I have an 02 and picked it up back in 07 - Only had 8500 on it and got it for 15k which I thought was a good deal. Was sitting in the garage since the guy was always out of town. Had a few extra's and is injected. I have never had any problems with her...
