05 road king speedometer
Saturday morning I come out to take off on my road king (2005) and the speedo pegged out past 120mph before I started it. after riding it, it slowly like a clock ticking backwards returned to zero but will not work. Put over 60 miles on it the night before with no problems with the speedo. It has none of the characters of being speed censor. Turn signal cancels, odometer registers, trip resets and the bike runs perfect. Put a new battery in it three days before problem started but put over 250 miles on it between then and when the speedo problem started. Need help! Any ideas?

I'm having a similar issue with the exact same year Road King. Speedo pegged to zero for a while imediately following a 800 mile weekend or so. This went on for a few weeks, but after a bath today it has been all over the place (120, 60, 40, etc...) seems to be moving back to zero though. Turn signals auto turn off gtg and odometer works fine. Advice??
