Default Rinehart 4" Tip Discoloration

Anybody out there that have the newer Rinehart 4".......are your tips discoloring like they did on the old one....ie..when they used to turn purple??

I was worried they would turn purple, so I got the chrome endcaps. I haven't seen anyone else's faded out yet, but the 4" haven't been out that long.

My right side one discolored last night when I backed into one of my daughters friends bicycles that she left laying in the driveway!!
Wanna sell one of your black endcaps?

No issues with mine yet still look as good as new.

7000 miles, 7 month, still nice and black except where I drug one on a driveway ramp...Little black paint and all is good. i would say if they fade i will just powder coat em....

I had trouble with the what looks like the coating flaking off both of my end caps. They would not replace them. Now the mufflers are taking on a gold tint.

I've had mine on for 11 months and 10,000 miles. Still look like new.

Well my chrome tips....I got them so I wouldnt have the issue like I did on the old black ones...are turning gold. Everything else is fine. Muffler bodies,heat shields....just the tips.
They asked me to send them pics so I did....so far no response back...Ill check back with them tommorow and see what they say. I doubt they'll give me any love. They wouldnt with the old style when I had them. These are the new Classic True Duals that are made by Clearline for them now.

Those that are having issues with discoloring, I am guessing that heat is the culprit. Maybe, just maybe, lean fuel conditions are the cause.
