I understand what you are saying, but as an armature inventor, I tend to wait on the finesse stuff until I'm completely happy with the design of my project. The OP didn't say this was a product for sale, but something he saw on another bike.

I was thinking the whole set up including the cooler might have been an idea in the works. Still, you should take a look at the parts list.

I would want the cooling fins located on the other side though...that way its less noticeable on the side stand

I might have to get this system... i think it adds a unique factor to it. unfortunately, it only comes in brushed or black...guess i would have to paint it?

Good looking system. He needs to just sell a relocation kit for the guys that already have the HD cooler. Then we might have something. I would love to put my filter down there.

In closely looking at the pictures at the start of this thread, I see no fitting for the oil cooler. This rig seems to only relocate the oil filter, which is fine, as long as that's your intent. The oil cooler is still connected to the oil filter mount assuming you have the kit or are willing to purchase it separately.

You don't have to use the oil cooler adapter with this setup although they did on the bike pictured. You could just plumb it into the oil filter loop. If you just have to have a thermostat (Jagg says its not necessary) then you could buy an inline model (Jagg sells one) or you could install the manual by pass (Jagg sell this also). I like the idea of the oil filter being out in the air stream, that means additional cooling.
