Default Price for a 2011 Road Glide right now?

Local dealer has a 2011 Road Glide, vivid black with the 96 engine in it. Price is $19744, was thinking of trading if the price was right. Should I wait till the 2012 are out? I know the 12’s will have the 103 and an oil cooler and the price is just a little more than the 11’s. His first offer was $10G for my 09 Street Bob, sight unseen. What type of deal should I be looking for on this 2011 Road Glide or should I just wait for the 2012?

offer him 16,500 for the 2011 and go from there. you'll probably walk out between 17 and 18. also, haggle for money in the parts department and motorclothes. and have him throw in the first service free

Last week I I got a good deal on my 2011 Road Glide Custom with the Power Pak option (103, abs and security) and a 7 year HD warranty (5 plus the factory 2) out the door for $ 23,500 and all parts for 6 months at a 20% discount and service at 10% discount.

My dealer was dealing since they have the 2012 arriving now. The 2012 are about $ 600.00 more msrp than the 2011 but come with the 103 and oil cooler, not sure if they come with ABS or if that is an option. So the 2011 with the Power Pak option is the same bike as the 2012

Maybe see about a chopped tour pack with some that P&A, or figure in maybe some true dual rhinehart's with the finance , just a suggestion

I'd try to get the best deal you can negotiate with your dealer on the 11. If you want a deal, the 11 is the way to go. Pretty soon dealers will be throwing in the kitchen sink to get rid of the 11s.

If you want "the bike" now is also a good time to shop as you have your choice of 11 and 12 color options. If you're sticking with Vivid Black, I think you'll be OK with either year.

BTW - last September I picked up a left over 10 after the 11s came out. I got a pretty good deal on my 10 and I'm still really happy with the bike. I got about a $4K discount off of list plus a smoking number on my trade.

Good luck, either way you'll have a cool new scoot. How can you lose?

I just bought an 11 r.g. custom in black denim with a power pak and cruise control. I paid $22,000 out the door. That is with NJ tax title and reg. Tax here is 7%. I rushed and bought it 1 month ago. I think I might be able to do a little better now. Good luck

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to wait till next Wednesday when they release the 2012 then offer them to sell me the bike (2011 Road Glide) for $16500 and to give me $11000 for mine, no other extras. You think this is too much to ask.

I think that the 96" motor is better than the 103". Stock, it runs cooler than the stock 103. It can be upgraded using just the Stage One Kit and still run cool without the Oil Cooler. If you want to run the cooler, it makes a great difference. (I just added it to mine with the kit)
I can increase the displacement to 103" later, if I want. But I have lots of power with the 96". And runs great!
