I've had my 05 EGC for a year now . When starting engine, hot or cold, and after shut down, there is a strong smell of raw gasoline. The smell is most noticeable in the first block or 2 after cold motor startup and after shut down in the garage after riding. I average 33-36 mpg around town, bike starts right up and runs good all the time, and I see no leaks of any kind. Spark plugs look brownish gray on both cylinders, has no codes. I have not changed or done anything to it except for tires and fluids since I bought it. Any thoughts ?

 

Mine too so I leave it outside for a half hour before it goes in the garage. It might have something to do with the tank vent.
