I really like these Held gloves, expensive but I'm on my 3rd or 4th summer and they still look great

Exactly. My backs of my hands are badly scarred from a crash where I didn't have gloves on that day (hot weather). My knuckles got ground to the bone as my hands were pinned under me as I slid on the pavement face down unconscious. Painful and very slow healing.
Imagine not having the use of your hands for a month? Wear gloves always.
In summer I wear perforated leather gloves. In cooler weather I wear elkskin gloves by Fox Creek.

Been looking at the Olympia line, specifically either the 711 or 750 with the gel padding. http://shop.olympiagloves.com/
Anyone have any experience with these gloves or have any recommendations of other brands?
Any thoughts on "gel" padding? Guess in my old age I'm getting soft.

honestly just cut the tips off of some glove liners and call it good.
I also like the Mechanics series gloves you can buy at autozone or Napa
