If your stator is fried make sure when you replace it to check your ground connections, especially at the regulator. make sure there is no corrosion present.
i'm still baffled by all these fried stators. espacially in light of the way it sits in the primary and is cooled by the primary fluid. there definitely needs to be a fuse in there somewhere inbetween the stator and regulator
Been reading some dealers are replacing them at will, even ones that have not had charging issues. My bike is out of warranty so they won't do squat for me but for those of you with warranties get in there and ask....
