I'm trying to info for a friend. He has a 2006 street glide and wants to switch out the front forks for chrome. Can someone post or email me info from the manual for the front forks (fluid change, cartridge info)? I have an 2009 manual for my EGC but I'm thinking the procedure may be different.

they are pretty much the same i did my wifes SG and my roadglide same procedure her bike is a 2006 and mine is a 2011. thers not that much to it the hard part is taking the fairing apart once you get the lowers off its pretty straight forward i did it without a manuel. just look at how the lowers come off the tube and put it back the same way in reverse u could take pictures while doing it also.

 

Yep, same procedure. No cartridge in the 06.
Might want to verify the 06 fork oil amount.

 

Thanks for the advise. Our concern was that the 2006 had the cartridges.

The cartridge was only in 2003-2005 models. Many with those years switch to '06 internals to make fork oil changes easier.
