Default Road Zeppelin : Two 13 hour days in the saddle

I have logged some miles on the RZ since I bought it, but the true test was my 4th of July weekend trip. I have to say this seat is amazing! absolutely no backside discomfort.

I only had 1 problem with the seat. on the way, one of the wires pulled from the harness, and the compressor stopped working. It was a simple fix, I just had to push it back down. Now that I'm back, I will check out my options to make sure it doesn't pull out again.

I almost got one. The RZ is a good seat, no doubt. However, I found that it sits you at least 1" higher than any other seat I tried. I'm 6'2", so height wasn't an issue, but I just didn't like sitting that much higher.

The best thing about the RZ, is that you can adjust the bladders while riding, reducing/changing the pressure points. It was just too big of a seat for me.

I have looked into those, but I need to get lower to the ground and those seats are just to tall for me.

You are correct, It is a GIANT Seat, and does take away from the aesthetics of the bike, and it does raises you up a bit. with no air, it is about the same height of the stocker, but once you air it up, it does move you up a bit.

It is awesome to be able to change the seat (air pressure) on the fly.

I consider it one of the best investments i have made. I must be the only one here though that thinks it isnt to bad looking while on the bike!

Loved everything about it other than the vinyl construction. If it was available in leather for the new frame, I would have bought one.

When we installed our RZ back in '06, the wireharness plug under the seat was tied to the frame tight in front of the battery, making it very hard to install the seat. I clipped the plastic ties back several inches, and found a lot of slack in the harness, then retied the harness, giving me plenty to easily plug in the seat.
