+1 all I have to do is adjust the volume every now and then depending on the song being played.

The key to hearing the stereo is wear ear plugs as Jerm21 said . that knocks out all the wind noise
. Only way i will ride the super slabis with plugs in. I use the cheap disposable from work.

Gonna be different for everyone based on windshield height, your height, helmet type/fit, earplugs. I couldn't hear it well with my XL HJC FF, but I hear it a lot better now that I got a L HJC FF, which cut a lot of wind noise. I hear it better without earplugs. I wore them before, but haven't had to with new helmet.

What pipes are you running? I have the stock head unit and just added the BOOM speakers and am happy with them. I had 6.5inch 4 ohm speakers that I wasn't really happy with. I can hear my speakers at 80 MPH with Bub TDs.

I have NO problem hearing the stereo system. But without a tach, I wouldn't know that the V & H true duals & SE slip-ons were making noise !!

Have upgraded speakers on my classic and with earplugs, no problem. Without earplugs wind noise and engine noise create a very distorted sound. Only issue with earplugs is you need to turn the sound up and then it can be interesting watching the neighbours as you drive by.
