I'll be buying the Klock Werks 6.5 as soon as I get the money. I've had my eye on it for a while now.

No problemo. It sucked having to buy them all to find one that I liked, but turns out, both the KW ones get use, and my friends with bat wing bikes have all test drove mine before they bought theirs. Guess it worked out ok.

Just switched to the windsplitter- definitely an improvement over stock, can hear the radio better, but still buffets over 60 mph.

Swapped out the stock 4" shield on my 2011 StreetGlide for a Windsplitter. Took a weekend trip and I gotta say the Windsplitter is much better. I love it and don't see a reason for me to keep trying different shields.

Plus... It looks nice.

I'm 6'1". There was severe buffeting with the stock windshield when I rode my new 2011 SG home from the dealership. I swapped it out for a Wind Splitter and, although it was better, I still had significant buffeting at interstate speeds.

I need to note that the sensation of buffeting may be lessened if you wear motorcycle goggles or glasses (with the wraparound lens). The wife and I took a 2-hour ride yesterday afternoon and we both wore our motorcycle glasses. There was very little sensation of buffeting.

When I brought the SG home for the first time, I was wearing my regular, flat lens sunglasses and it felt like they were going to fly off my face at any time!

I'm 5'10" w/32" inseam and usually wear a 3/4 helmet with sun visor. The 4" stock windshield on my 2011 Street Glide was horrible, lot of buffeting. I bought the 7" HD wind splitter the next day. Pretty good improvement. I took the sun visor off the helmet and much better improvement. The wind is still hitting me on my forehead, so I still have a little buffeting. I bought a dark 8" LRS recurve shield, it is a little to tall, I'm waiting on a 7" to try out. With the 8" all of the buffeting was gone, My line of sight was just at the top of the shield. Just a little to tall.

Bought a used 8.5" Klock Werks off of eBay for a screaming deal and it came in today. Threw it on and rode through the city, highway and country this evening. What a difference it makes - I love it. I am 6'5" and run the Tall Boy seat and this windshield worked perfectly. No buffeting at my eyes/face and could hear everything much better. Wish I had bought one sooner -

Love my wind splitter & never get buffeting with my $30 ZR1 lid but DO get some with my new HD Hybrid which really bums me out, oh well
