EG front crash bar removal?

RE: EG front crash bar removal?
I understand the statement about "Insurrance", but I would ask THEM (Insurrance Co.) what their opinion is on the removal and a possible mishap with the bike in the future. Second, the first 2 months I had my 06 EG, laid it down twice. Wasn't used to the weight of the bike compared to my ex Jap bike. Not a scratch on the bike or fairing. Mind you, it was on take off and wasn't moving very fast, but even so, it saved the bike and headaches. I was SOOOO surprised to see that it haden't been marked or scratched.
So, as others have advised, think about putting them back on. We all work hard and pay good money when purchasing these bikes. One day you might regret that you had taken them off....are you willing to take the chance?
Happy trails

On the other hand..... the touring models are the only line that Harley makes that come with the engine guards. I think mine looks a lot better without them, and I'll join the ranks of softtail, dyna, sportster, vrod, and buell owners that seem to survive without the guards. [sm=biker.gif]
