3-3 Installed last night, about 150 miles today. Tight and tuned.

Nice upgrade, I got a front fork from Howard, standard version, works excellent, no bobbing, excellent
tracking and adjustable.

 

I am enjoying my Ohlins. The stock rear shocks are simply pieces of ****. It's amazing how many riders don't realize how bad their ride really is. Too bad for them.

 

Here's another satisfied customer of Howard's. I have the 3-1's and they are great.

 

I am with you on this. You do realize that $800 buys a lot of chrome and for some it's better to look good then to have it ride well.

 

Ohlins for me already...great ride! Howard=knowledgeable!

 

+1 on what everyone has said. It took me a few miles, some help on here and a call to Howard and I got mine dialled in. They do need fine tuning and thats the secret to them, but once theyre set up its soooo nice to ride. Because of the improvement in the rear, I can now feel how bad my front ones are, so thats next.
PS Howard taught me a little trick and that is to tie a small cable tie around the rod inside the spring to see where your stroke travel is. Thats what made the diffence to me in getting them perfect. Thanks Howard

Give your shocks a good 500 miles to break in before you re-measure your sag, and adjust preload and sweeper valve. I just broke 1500 miles on my Ohlins, and I'm going to re-measure and adjust one more time.

I want those damn Ohlins cartridges for the bagger front forks now!!
