Default Changing to a 12V 100/55W 4730 BLB

Got this bulb in the mail, obviously the hi beam tops out at 100 watts. Searched around and really couldn't find a definitive answer as far as if this will produce too much heat for the ceramic, wires and such for my 2009 FLHP. Or do I need to play it safe and go with the more standard 55/65 bulb? Thanks again.

I put one of those in my old FLH and it melted the wires. No misprint, melted them.

If it's a Xenon Halogen bulb it'll work, ( running 2 in my 2000 RG for over a year now.)

But I can't speak for any other combination.

bought this bulb from Clean Cycle Products, talked to Ralph about it...he said just don't keep the hi beam on all the time, just for an hour or so when you really need it. Kind of the way I'd use it any way. Got it installed, along with 881BLB on passengers, so, we'll see it when the sun sets. Got a feeling I won't be satisfied until the million dollar Harley LED's are on....
Thanks for the replies. On to another question, as I learn to dial this awesome machine in.

Update: After last evening's ride, HUGE improvement. You put on the hi beam and there's this cool circular halo that you ride in, aside from down road visibility improvement. Much cleaner light from the front as well. Highly recommend this bulb, beats spending the jack for the Harley LED's, for now.
