Question Clutch cover bolt backed out

I just need a quick remedy for what I hope is an easy fix. One of the bolts on the clutch cover of my 05 Ultra has gotten loose. On almost any of the bolts it would be simple - remove, blue loctite, replace. Unfortunately, of course, it has to be the bolt covered half way by the clutch cable! ugh.
So, I assume I have to unscrew the clutch cable from the housing to get clearance for the allen wrench (yes, I did consider just cutting off the allen wrench, but it does not appear that doing that would leave enough shoulder on the wrench to go into the hole to grip).

So my question is, do I have to loosen the clutch cable in the middle, like you do when swapping clutch levers (I'm all too familiar with that thanks to being graceful twice so far...yep, I did) or can you just unscrew it at the housing?

Thanks!

You might be able to get a long ball end allen in without removing cable, it's handy to have a set around and they make them for a socket wrench. Mine doesn't look like the cable is in the way.

By clutch cover do you mean right side of the bike or the derby cover on the left side of the bike? The clutch cable goes into the transmission end cover on the right side of the bike, if you are sitting on th ebike facing fwd.

It seems he is talking about the tranny cover.

I don't see how your clutch cable could be covering one of the bolt holes on the tranny side cover. In fact, in order to change a cable, etc. you screw in the cable then screw on the cover. The cable goes into the side and should not interfere with the bolts. Unless You're talking about the black wrinkle bearing housing assembly itself and not the chrome tranny side cover. If that is what you are talking about, simply remove the tranny side cover with the cable in tact and tighten the bolt and reinstall the tranny side cover.
