Glad you're okay. I went down today - but my experience wasn't as bad as yours. Like guys are telling me - the bike can be repaired or replaced. We are both blessed today.

Glad you are OK. I think the helmet is probably covering up a large brown spot.....

Glad your fine. I am very nervous in rain and i will wait it out if it is coming down too hard.....Seen too many down bikers that way....I have been riding for about 10 years but what I do if it is raining is ride about 2 to 3 car lengths behind a cager if possible. I also ride in the right lane on far right side as long as I can see ahead of the vehicle in front of me for two reasons.......One...If i cannot stop in time and sense myself to slide or falling, which might be too late to correct, I will try to steer toward shoulder lane and hang on. At least I might avoid getting ran over if I fall toward the shoulder side of road. Second.....Not as much spray from passing vehicles which tends to hamper the conditions even more and no escape route from left side of right lane. Now knock on wood, I never went down in the rain yet....but I take every precaution available. I also make sure my tires are inflated to the proper tire pressure....Others might agree or disagree but this worked out for me so far.

Practice staying off the rear brake. Use it gently espcially in slippery conditions, and there are lots of those out there not just rain.

A retired motor officer at a course that I took made a point of saying that all you need is toe pressure on the rear brake.

Glad you're ok. You should put that helmet on display somewhere.
