Default tranny seepage at clutch cable

I just noticed that my bike is seeping a little fluid where the clutch cable goes into the cover on the transmission. I recently put on +2 sweepers on my '10 ultra, so used a Barnett cable. Had used their products on other bikes with no issues, so am surprised this is occuring. It seems to be seeping where the sleeve enters the cable fitting. The leak does not appear to be where the cable fitting threads into the cover, dry there. It's not much, just enough to dampen the cable and collect dust, but I've checked lots of bikes and I don't see this a lot. So do I order a new HD cable this time around or is there something I can do?

If it is the cable and you do decide to put on an HD cable, the 38649-08 cable is what you will use for the sweepers.

A lot of times, those 2 bolts underneath your tranny cover, that your exhaust mounts to, will come lose too. Good idea to check those as well.

I've seen that part wet a little on a lot of bikes. If its not dripping I would'nt worry about it too much. Just wipe it clean and keep an eye on it.

Thanks, I'm gonna keep an eye on it and order the new cable when I get the chance, but no rush on it. Thought about loosing things up, cleaning the cable and squirting an little RTV, but if I'm gonna go to that much hassle, might as well just get the new cable and do it right. Thanks for the part number dawg.

I get oil seepage there, after I lube the cable. I just wipe it off and keep on riding.

I've had it happen when I put it up on the jack and it's tilting forward a bit. The fluid sits high enough to seep out, once level on the ground no seep.
