If you are wanting to limit it to a Harley then an Ultra is your best bet otherwise a Gold Wing IMO.
I moved to a Goldwing for 3 years from Harleys for 39 years. The Goldwing is a great motorcycle but it's boring. I traded for a 2010 Ultra. I'm very happy to be back on a Harley.
Ultra Limited, not that I'm biased. Owned a Goldwing and it's great for touring, but if you are not going to keep the softtail to ride around town, then go with the Ultra - it's great for touring and around town.
