Said another way, SERIES wiring, in the example you are considering, simply puts two speakers on a single channel, rather than what you now have which is each speaker on its own channel.

Carl,
That is exactly what I saw and you are correct. So this amp will not work for me having 2 ohm speakers looks like I am off to something else bummer liked the price and many other things about the amp.

Dealer in Chicago area told me he would have these in on Tuesday/Wednesday. I was going to buy this one but really don't want to switch out my 2 ohm Hogtune speakers yet.

Has anyone mounted a JL Audio XD400/4 amp in the fairing? It was not much more than this RF amp. Guess I could put it in the tour pack if necessary.

Would I be able to use this amp on an aftermarket fairing (DeadCenter)?

I have the Biketronics set up in my 09 FLHT. Sony headunit and Hertz 5.25 speakers (I believe that they're 3ohm). Does anyone know if this amp will work for me? I was going to order the Biketronics Titan 454 amp, but this RF is half the price...

Not sure where you are see the 3 ohm but on the hertz web site it looks like they only have 4 ohm speakers. I bought two HCX 165 from a hertz vendor and two BT 452 from biketronic and they were the same. I'm running the 4 HCX 165 with a arc amp and I'm getting great sound.

Default Mine

Mine is in the bike and driving 2 of the power series 6.5' shallows. Not done yet and outer fairing is not back on, but I put a towel behind them and it is pretty loud. I have nothing to compare it to, but if interested I started a thread about this long ago .

My Hertz speakers (model 445) that I purchased through Biketronics say 3Ω right on them.
