Do 2011 Street Glides have catalytic convertors in the headpipes?
Just curious if the Touring models have cats in the head pipes or mufflers? My dad has a 2010 EG and wants to put on a set of Rineheart Slipons and we got to talking about catalytic convertors. Mine had them in the headpipes and even with slipons teh bike was quiet.
I actually had a dealership service manager tell me my 2011 Street Glide's catalytic converter was in the mufflers. No doubt where the cat is located.....just put the right side muffler and look in the pipe. I had to shed the heat so mine is in storage, replace with V&H.
Seems kinda silly to spend 500-800 on new head pipes when it oughta be easy to get the cat outta the stock ones............just need to hear from someone who has done it?If they are ceramic they oughta break real easy..........
do a search - this all hit the fan in 2010 so there's lots of posts from back then. Several options. I decided to keep my stock head pipes (on the shelf) and put new headers on (V&H Power Duals). Others have had their headers cut open, the cat removed and welded back together.
