I reckon he was talking about the primary chain tension. Older models (06 and earlier) had manual adjusting chain tensioners. Your 09 has an automatic primary chain tensioner so you should not have to worry about it. You will however still have to perform clutch adjustments at the basket every now and again. Do you have a service manual yet?

That is good to know. Yes I have the manual I just got in the mail but now I will have to open it up. I am comfortable to do this now.....

One last question....I am replacing the plugs....Any good recommendations?

I've run the stock HD 6R12's or the Autolite 4164's (cheaper than HD)
