I must give my dealer cudo's, they have never given me any B.S.
They have never told me using anything other than HD oil would void my warranty!
They have never put down a product I have asked them about. they my have recommended something the thought better.
They have never done work I didn't ask for. the even fixed a leak I caused under warranty
My bike is also always returned to me spotlessly cleaned!!!!
I would love to get the work done cheaper, but I couldn't ask for it to be done better.

Lol i usually play dumb with the parts guy then when he's done with his shpeil i make a couple comments and move on.
I had a poor guy all confused the other day. I needed some fork seals for my dad's bike and sure enough, the guy couldnt find the parts book, couldnt find the part, and then asked me if my FLHX had a fairing.
I try to just smile, get what i need, and move on. I do enjoy walking into dealerships though. its fun to see how each one is set up. some owners take great pride in their place, others are simply in it for cash.

Las Vegas Harley Davidson told a buddy of mine that when he added his new pipes (08 SG) that it would require a "minimum of 8 hours dyno time". At $90 an hour, I walked outta there in tears I was laughing so hard.
Come to find out, he wasn't joking. They wanted to throw the bike on a dyno for 8 FREAKING HOURS!!! I told him it's his money, but it's a waste of time and money.

Any dealership wanting 8 hours of dyno time for a pipe has an obvious integrity problem. A 100 years ago they're the type that would have been selling you snake oil to fix any illness...
The bad thing is, if all you change is the pipes you don't really even need a re-tune. Change the pipe and air filter and maybe you could benefit from it, maybe not. Add a cam and electronic tuner and perhaps you should be looking for some help. Better yet, just call Jamie at FuelMoto and let him sell you a package with a tuner already programmed correctly.
