Looks like a pretty simple deal to do in an afternoon.

You can rent the bearing puller at Autozone and reinstall it using the old cam.

The only special tool needed is the bearing puller/installer.

There are a couple of tools that I like to use, but they aren't necessary. I just like having the correct tool for the job. The little key that fits between the pinion sprocket and the cam sprocket to lock the motor down can be picked up on ebay for about 15 bucks. If you're pulling the pushrods out through the top of the motor, there are two wrenches, one for the rocker box covers, and one for the lower rocker boxes that are great to have, because of the tight spaces involved.

You can tap in the inner bearings with an old camshaft, or you can buy the tool that presses them in. It's done both ways, I'd recommend pressing them in, but lots of guys have just tapped them into place with no apparant problems.

Should probably be a sticky...perhaps in the tech forum.
