Hey I have heard a couple of people on here say that the road glide seat is more comfortable that the street glide seat. But my question is which year seat would be the one year to give the max comfort and when did the seats become the same

So first of all..Congrats on your 09 SG (Birthday) Purchase...LOL...
Yes the Road Glide seat is very nice and much more comfy than the SG seat as far as the older years...Up to 07..If im not mistaken the newer years HD is the same seat on SGs and RGs? So if this is the fact it wouldn't make any difference....

I know for a fact that 09 seats are different. I believe in 2010 is when the seats became the same. I know you can use any 08 -11 seat on an 09 touring bike. dont know if 08 or 09 have any comfort differences

 

the 2011 are what most people claim to be the more comfortable ones

 

Seats for SG and RGC are the same for both models in 2010/2011.

As TJ said, 2011 seats are thought to be much more comfortable versus the 2010 stock seat. The new seat sits you a little lower and has more back support. The seat pan was changed in 2011 due to fitment issues on the 2010 seat.

 

Couldn't tell you. I replaced the one that came on my 06 with a Mustang before I ever sat on it.

 

The seat on my 07 RG was more comfortable then the seat on my 11 ultra limited.

By far, bar none, the 2011 Road Glide Ultra seat is the most comfortable seat offered for a FLTRC

 

I second that. I was able to get a loaner bike for both street gilde and road glide ultra. And by far the RGU seat is like a lazy boy.
