WARNING:Don't buy from Quality Cycle

I assume you mean you paid $15,500. Did the bike come to you in good repair or was it known to have been damaged? Regardless the price should have been a good clue. Sorry for your misfortune.

A salvage title might not be all that bad considering the way Harley Dealers do their estimates. It can effect loan value but if it's a good enough deal you can take a little less on resale. I realize that it should have been disclosed. I recently repaired an 06 SG (hit and run) for $770 parts that Harley wanted $6300 parts and $1521 labor w/tax total $8400. They write every little scratch up with new factory paint vs. having someone use a little Mequires. We don't know if insurance would of totaled it since my friend turned it in only to find out he didn't have uninsured motorist coverage or collision. A couple years ago I bought a salvage Fat Boy for $3k and put about $3k in it was better than new and had no problem selling it with a salvage title.

I don't need to tell you that you shouldn't have bought the bike without running the VIN. You know you screwed the pooch here and you screwed it again when you had mods done to the bike before receiving the title. Lesson learned, uh?
This being said, the seller was legally obligated to disclose that it had a salvage title so you won't have a problem canceling the sale, and the seller will reimburse you ....... if he can.
As for the work done on your bike, I'm afraid you won't get your money back.
If it were me, I'd negotiate with the seller, trying to knock-down the price paid instead of suing him, and I'd keep the bike. If the repairs were done professionally, a salvage bike is as good as new.
If you don't want to keep it and prefer to sell it, it's all a matter of price. If you ask for it as much as for a bike with a clear title, you won't sell it but if your price is fair, it'll sell.
Good luck.

Seems they specialize in insurance buy backs?????
Upon his father's retirement In 2009, they decided to concentrate on their true passion of motorcycles and craft a business that will satisfy customers' needs of purchasing re-buildable and showroom-ready bikes for years of fun and enjoyment.
Quality Cycle was born!
In 2010, Quality Cycle was then joined by Al Skruby as a partner to help grow the business and streamline the process.
Our specialty? Hand-picking bikes with minimal cosmetic damage from insurance companies and then re-selling the bikes as re-buildable or bringing them up to showroom condition for resale. Not local? It's no problem to ship bikes across the US or even internationally.

I have to call BS on this one. There is nothing about that site that would lead you to believe you are buying anything BUT a repaired bike. EVERY bike in their inventory has a salvage title and it says so in the description. And their "About Us" section tells the whole story. They buy wrecked bikes and repair them. Period.
Looks to me as though the buyer didn't perform his due dilligence. It doesn't take Columbo to see what Quality Cycle does, they are upfront about it. No murky waters on that website.....
I was ready to console the OP too, but hmmmmm....

I looked at the site, it does says " purchased from insurance company". Sorry you didnt read close enough. When my dad purchased his salvage bike, he saved all his receipt and brought them to title place. They gave him a custom title instead of a salvage title. If you did motor work add some more chrome and have it retitled.
Also, he pays a little higher insurance. The reason is , if he wrecks it he will recover value based of his receipts.
