The speed is different for everyone because it depends on weight at the center of gravity and steering head geometry. I have played with it a little and it seemed like it was 14 mph on my 02 RKC. Could have been more, but it wasn't less.

Countersteer as you call it is determined by front wheel size. If you are running stock 16in wheel and tire it kicks in at about 12mph. At highway speeds you wont notice much difference from your sporty .

Dude - we're just giving you **** because its the kind of thing that becomes blindingly obvious the moment you get on the bike.

Yes, most bikes its going to be between 5 and 15 mph. Fact is, you'll know - if for no other reason than the second you try to turn in the direction you want to go, as opposed to leaning, your inner ear is going to register that something VERY BAD is about to happen if you keep turning the bars.

Leaning=countersteer (above parking lot speed). Can't do one without the other.
