I've been riding for 40 yrs and I've never given this any thought. I just lean in the direction I want to go.

This thread is pretty much done. Someone tell me how to delete this sh$%

You're obviously new to this site. If you plan on staying a while, you better get some tougher skin. The guys here are pretty straightforward and like to go for the "Laugh". It breaks up the boredom.
If you ask a question that's gonna set you up for possible abuse, you're gonna get it. Don't take it personal.

Dave, you beat me to it.

You guys are mean! Poor guy just wanted to know how to turn his bike... Best way is to start slow, turn the bars and note which way the bike turns. When you reach a point where the bike turns the opposite direction you turned the bars, write that speed on your gas tank and you'll always know at what speed to countersteer.

Interesting fact...in the southern hemisphere you need to ride you motorcycle in reverse to get any counter steering effect at all.

I'm serious. I've tried it.
I'm with him - he's from collegeville!

Looks like someone needs to enroll in a rider safety class.

I think it's time for the moderator to kill this thread.

I am always amazed how ignorant some people are. This post only confirms the old saying, " Better to be thought of as a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." Of course, I am referring to the reply by our new member rather than the original question. I suspect he will have other choice observations we all will unfortunately have to endure.

As long as you have it up to 88MPH and have plenty of High Life in the Flux Capacitor it should counter steer at will

Depends if you have winter air or summer air in your tires.
