i like it, that's all they have to do is cool the combustion chamber some to meet emissions, screw you pansey's and your legs, water cooling won't help that

I'm pretty sure the water-cooled v-rod engine is porsche designed/built.

I believe that the catching up was quality related, and about 1/4 century back.
Can you identify something recent that Harley did to "catch up"?

Mine has been as reliable as any bike I've ever had, the only broke things resulted from an unfortunate encounter with a deer. I wouldn't consider any of that internal.

a comprehensive liquid cooled system is likely to have water jackets around the entire cylinder, combats noise emissions as well as tailpipe.

The illustration looks like a "kit" for retrofit.

[QUOTE=blarg;8464927]you know....if Harley ever DOES decide to go all liquid cooled, I hope they embrace it and just go for it...just stick a big 'ol radiator from a 59 Buick on it, chrome the **** out of it, stick it right in front, and start running a slogan like "yeah....it's a radiator...wanna make something of it?"

There you go. Just do it, I am ready for some more of something out of my Ultra, it was 103 degrees coming home this afternoon. I hope they put a 5 ton air conditioner on it.
