Garmin zumo 220

I have a Garmin Nuvi 360NA and it works great. Not waterproof but a plastic bag is a great cover.
My wife told me to buy a new GPS for the bike/car. I looked at the waterproof bike Garmins but don’t like it not having a interface with the auxiliary radio plug or SD card port. My 360 does plug into the radio interface and I can listen to music on the SD card and get the directions over the radio or the helmet speakers.

Yes, you can upload a number of routes. Tracks are a bit different as they're sections of files (usually huge files) that you can run the same as routes on the Zumo 550 that are usually just shorter. I've used tracks a number of times for off road trips around the midwest. I never knew nuvi based systems didn't handle them until we tried to upload them to a buddy's 220.
If you're building your own trip routes it shouldn't be an issue. We're doing a Minneapolis to Durango CO trip this June and I'll be using the Zumo 220 for that trip. I'll have some basic destinations like hotels pre-loaded and maybe a couple of routes to ride while we're there and also for the trip home through the Black Hills.
For the money it's a good system.

I bought a Tomtom 1405 Via, and while it seemed to be a great deal ($100 and $17 for the handlebar mount) it turns out the display contrast just ain't going to cut it. I tried every color combo offered and none worked well on a bright day no matter how i adjusted the angle. Does the display on this Zumo 220 work good in sunshine?
