I put the HD premium oil cooler kit on my 07 and added an aftermarket fan kit to the oil cooler.

I was close to going to 300 a few times here last summer, and my bike is an 09 same as my friend's ultra that I was speaking about. I've told this to my local dealer and they say "yeah that's fairly normal for the newer glides."

As far as anything being wrong with my friend's ultra, I seriously doubt that. Anything is possible though I guess.
He is very meticulously **** and then some.
His heads have been done by Hillside, Woods TW-7 cams, 103 big bore kit SE Comp, PC-V and auto tuner.
That bike can darn near fly..it's so fast..

Have seen 260-270 on mine without an oil cooler in the summer, considering a cooler .. Just tough deciding which is best ..

Well, I've never heard oil temps being nearly that high with a cooler, especially while moving. If I saw anywhere near that temperature I would panic.

I have coolers on all of my bikes. I get them with the 20% off when I buy the bike so they are the HD cooler.

All coolers do a good job and no air cooled V twin should be without one.

They should be standard and not just a few models.
