Default Thoughts on a good A/C

So I'm about to order a PC-V from Fuel Moto and as much as it's gonna thin out my wallet, I think I'd like to upgrade the air cleaner at the same time.

Thoughts on good, cheap ones that will allow the engine to breathe? I've done some research, but not alot has really stood out. I know K&N makes a decent A/C. I'm also torn between loving and hating the SE Heavy Breather... But damn that thing is expensive...

Used the Ness BS on several bikes, it has cleanable filter element.
Breathes good enough for my 103 motor.
Least expensive method is to just replace the filter element w/ an K&N unit

Get the one from FM; it's reasonably priced.

Just ordered Jackpots and a PCV from Fuelmoto friday. Talk to Jamie, he will steer you in the right direction.

Like I said, I LOVE the Heavy Breather, but IDK so much about on a touring model... They look sick on the Nightsters and whatnot, but... IDK yet. I'll look into the FM and Ness A/C.
Thanks guys.

Just keep in mind that the filter element is only half the story. The stock air cleaner housing is pretty restrictive... Look how small the air inlet opening is. The SE backing plate and a good, high-flow element work together to let the engine get the air it needs.

Right, I know I've seen some people cut their stock backing up. Could I get it as non-restrictive as an SE backing and save the $$?

I don't see why you couldn't... lots of guys on here have done it.

If I were going that route, I would do more than just drill a few holes in it with a hole saw... I would find a way to open it up as much as possible.
