Default The Perfect Fit Ape For Me And My King

First post here guys since purchasing my "new" 2004 FLHRCI. I have searched and looked through the forum for hours on end before joining looking for the perfect fit ape hanger for me and my bike. I am not finding very many Kings with ape pics though. I am looking for an ape hanger 16" to 18" with limited pullback as I have longer arms and like the look better. I have found the Nash Smart Gimp to be a good fit for what I'm looking for, but I have found no pics and have no info on them. Any pics of what you think is the best ape available for the King or any info you have on a nice bar with limited pullback would be much appreciated. Also, any cable info.

Thanks!

Go to search this thread and type in ape hangers and you will see lots of posts and pictures. Just put 16 wild ones on mine. Love the fit and the ride.

Thanks! I guess I was unsure of how to search specific sections of the forum until actually joining. Do you like the pullback on the Wild1's? I have noticed that seems to be the favorite around here. I can always push the bars forward as I like this look anyway, but I just don't want bars that the handles are turned inward and pulled back so far that my wrist are cocked out

I've got an 07 Road King Classic and put 18" Carlini Gangster Apes on it. I love them. They curve forward so there isn't a real pull back. They look great. Super beefy 1.5" diameter. And, on the King, the 18's are a good height.
They're a little pricey but for me I thought well worth it. Great bars.

Great looking King! I love the Carlini Gangsta Apes I just can not bring myself to spend $350 on bars. I may regret this in the future. I'm hung up on the Nash Smart Gimps because of the shape and the 5" pull back, but I can't find any pics on a King to see what they would look like. My next choice was the HCC 18" narrow apes with cables, but I'm finding more bad than good about HCC.

You can score a great set of bars from Carlini for $275 from their "blemish" section. A blemish could be nothing more than a pin dot in the chrome somewhere that isn't noticeable to anyone but them.
Contact Rex. He'll set you up.

Check out the Carlini's. I run them on my bike too. Limited pullback for sure. I got the 1.5" Flyin' apes with their high roller risers.

I like LA Chopper' Ape Hangers, less pull back of anything I've found.
