Thinking about a road king...
Okay.. So on Friday I found the bike that I think is THE bike!! I have been riding for a little over a year and I'm a very safe and confident rider(aka smart enough to know my limits). I'm 5'7 and 145 and just about 30(if any of that matters I don't know LOL) I fell in LOVE with a Road King! It is a 2007 Screaming Eagle 1800cc. Not at all the bike I thought I would move up to and I wasn't even looking!! The sales guy(of course lol) and everyone that knows me says it's me and I'll be fine but the size and such scares me some... So.... I'm looking for input.... Thoughts! Thanks!!
Also on Queens board but I'm looking to decide soon as they are holding it for me...

I have a really long inseam so I can touch flat foot with knees slightly bent. The power and engine size was more of my concern, as well as, I started on a 750 Honda so weight was also a thoght of mine. Until I found this RK I thought I would end up eventually on a Dyna. Thanks for the replies!

Will he let you take it out for a ride? Will they rent you a 2011 RK for the day? Many times they'll apply your rental payment to the cost of the purchased bike so its a win-win for both of you. Is the bike a CVO or has an engine upgrade? Also, ask whether the dealer might find you a post-'09 RK Standard or RK Classic for about the same price? The reason is that HD changed the frames that year and there really is a big difference in the ride of the pre- and post- bikes. After you've ridden it, don't wait too long to buy one. RK's are the probably the finest model that HD makes. Of course, I am very biased.
