I have a broken clutch cable on my 97 RKC but I'm trying to find out exactly which replacement cable to buy. The bike has either heritage bars or mini apes. (were on there when I bought it)

The cable itself measures ~63". Is that standard length for this bike (1997 Evo, carb)?

Also...could I go with maybe a longer cable (like 5 " longer) in case I want to go with taller bars later, without causing problems?

Where is a good place to order the cable?

The stock cable for your bike is
Part# 38601-89 and lists for $63.00 and it is still available from H-D.

It measures approximately 63" for the core cable wire and about 3" shorter on the black cable housing. So about 63" on the core wire and about 60" on the black cable housing.
